Hi, hey, ho ho ho, Blogmas Day 2 is all about festive fun in Columbus. We always manage to do a few holiday activities around our neck of the woods, but I wanted to share what I’ve found with you. If you’ve ever done any of these things and love them, let me know in the comments!
Cratchit at Shadowbox Live – (from their site) We all know the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge, but what about his clerk, the overworked and underpaid Bob Cratchit? Shadowbox Live’s original jukebox musical Cratchit, filled with popular rock and holiday music, follows this unsung hero on that same fateful Christmas Eve.
This looks so fun! Tickets are under $30 and the show runs select dates through December 22nd.
Wildlights at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium – A Christmas tradition in our house, Wildlights brings the best of the zoo and Christmas together! In addition to the amazing light show, many of the indoor animal exhibits are still open, and concession stands offer cozy winter snacks. You can buy tickets on site or get discounted tickets at a local Kroger!
WinterFest 2019 at Bicentennial Park, Saturday, December 7th, 11am-4pm – (from their site) Join us for the third annual WinterFest, a celebration of giving featuring local and national musical acts, seasonal ales from hometown breweries and favorite dishes from Columbus food trucks.
This event promises to be a good time! Follow it up with a gallery hop in the Short North Arts District afterward until 9pm!
An evening with Chevy Chase and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation screening, Saturday, December 21st, Palace Theatre – Guys. This is what I’ve been training for my whole life. Chevy Chase is touring the U.S. with the best movie of all time and I seriously cannot wait for this! Tickets were affordable, and I feel like this is a can’t miss event for anyone who loves this movie like I do. There are even meet and greet tickets available if that’s your calling!
There’s so much holiday fun in Columbus, it would take me days to list! What’s your favorite festive activity in Columbus?
xoxo it’s Christmas Vacation!
