Hello friends, and happy Blogmas Day 10! In today’s edition of Blogmas we have another year, another Christmas tag. I love reading these, and I hope you do too! If you feel so inclined, copy/paste the questions (listed at the end), and tag me in your responses!
Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
We do most present opening on Christmas Day, so we can spread the magic as far as possible!
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Fake. I prefer real, but they’re kind of scary in their potential to basically self combust. Plus, Mother Earth and stuff. But, I’ll be burning that Fresh Balsam candle all December long to make the tree seem real!
You have been granted one Christmas wish…what will it be?
My wish on Christmas is that everyone can find some joy in it. I know the holidays can be tough, but I hope that everyone can take a step back and witness the magic.
Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
None that are set in stone like they were in my childhood. I think our only Christmas Eve tradition is having dinner out (usually Asian cuisine), and watching The Santa Clause and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation before visions of sugarplums dance in my head.
What sits on top of your tree?
A little gnome. Not too traditional in our house, haha.
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
I have. I grew up in the southern part of West Virginia where we had lots of snow every winter, so lots of white Christmases there. We also had a white Christmas here in Ohio in 2017. Hoping for another this year to round out the decade!
Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen! But, in double checking the spelling of Donner, the internet says the last two are actually Dunder and Blixem. I’m calling BS. Oh, and Rudolph, duh!
Have you been naughty or nice this year? Be honest!
Honestly, I’m sad to say a little naughty. This year has been very trying emotionally (and physically, moving is hard in so many ways!), and that’s manifested in a not-so-nice Leigh Ann. If there’s coal in my stocking, it’s likely deserved. Looking ahead to the new year with a fresh perspective!
Which do you enjoy more? Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Christmas Eve, hands down! So much of the magic fades away as Christmas Day wears on, but everything is so twinkly and sparkly and perfect on Christmas Eve.
What do you eat for Christmas dinner?
Sushi! 🙂

I have had one in the past, thanks to @shutupcrystal, but not usually!

Yes, and this year’s is my favorite card yet!
