‘Tis the season to binge Netflix, falalalala-lalalala. As usual, I’m watching all things Christmas so you don’t have to! Well, so you can at least skip the bad stuff. My streaming schedule is usually crammed into tiny pockets of time, but with the current state of the world, I’ve had ample time to binge all the Christmas that Netflix has to offer- good, bad, and ugly.
I’ve teased enough, let’s talk about Dash & Lily, a Christmas series.
Who? Dash and Lily, duh. But also their pals Boomer, Langston, Benny, Sofia, Edgar, and even Nick Jonas, lol
What? A teen romdramedy
When? December 17th – December 31st, specifically
Where? New York City
How? Well, there’s this notebook
This major feel-good-watch-in-a-single-day series is like She’s All That meets To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and in my opinion, it’s perfection through and through. Sorry, I’ll never stop loving romcoms, and I have a particular fondness for ones that bring back the nostalgia of high school love, when everything is simple and exciting.
Dash is your typical teenage hipster. He’s smart, well-read, sarcastic, thoughtlessly well dressed, and honestly, a little damaged. He fancies himself a loner, but is well-loved by friends. His heart’s been broken. He thinks Christmas is, “The most detestable time of the year.”
Lily is loud and quiet simultaneously. She’s a free spirit, an old soul, and a snazzy fashionista. Years of not fitting in emboldened her to stand out, but only within the confines of her own little world. She’s never been kissed. Lily loves Christmas, but a series of unfortunate events are threatening to spoil her most cherished time of year.
The rest? Well, I hope I’ve enticed you enough to just watch and see for yourself! Are there other Christmas shows that I’m missing out on?
If you’ve already watched Dash & Lily, what did you think?
xoxo Lilly & Lily
