Happy Sunday! We have had an equally relaxing and productive weekend, and it felt like the perfect opportunity to get back on track with some blogs!
I wanted to share some summer favorites with you. To be clear, these aren’t favorites that only apply to summer, they’re favorites that I’ve stumbled upon this summer, likely for year round use, haha.
In a shocking turn of events, I have two hair favorites! I’ve never really been into expensive hair care at all, but here in Columbus, we have really hard water, and over the years it has taken a major toll on my hair. When I’m at home in West Virginia, my hair dries quickly and is smooth, shiny, and feels thick. Here, it takes me double the time to dry my hair and it is frizzy and honestly, crunchy. Good ole leighannsays has raved about amika products for a while, so I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon a huge tub of the amika triple rx hair mask (I think it’s now called soulfood) at my local Marshall’s, and the stuff is magical. I use it once a week and I can definitely see a positive difference in the days following.
I also recently mentioned said frizz and crunchiness to my stylist and she sent me home with the coolest product ever: Malibu C Hard Water Wellness shampoo and conditioner. I’ve been using them for about a week and can not only feel a huge difference, but I can see it too! If you have hard water, this could be a much cheaper solution for you than a water softening system.

Anyway, enough about beauty and let’s get to the real stuff. Stranger Things 3. Guys, I don’t know what we did to deserve such incredible acting and character development, but we have it and we absolutely shouldn’t take it for granted. The gang’s all back, along with some new (incredibly talented) faces, in what I’m personally dubbing as the creepiest and best season yet. The show is jam packed with something for everyone: thrill, romance, comedy, mystery, horror. It’s the whole dang package wrapped up neatly under a Christmas tree with flickering lights.
Condado. Are you local? Do you like tacos? If you answered yes to either of those questions (yeah. Even just one. Because it’s probably worth the drive!), then Condado should be your happy hour/brunch/any mealtime spot. When Condado opened at Easton, I really liked it, but its opening also coincided with the development of all my food sensitivities and it kind of fell off the map along with every other restaurant on the planet. However, this summer, we pit stopped at Condado on a whim and their menu is so so so friendly for people with food allergies and dietary restrictions. Plus, a huge variety of margarita flavors! Needless to say, I’ve been stopping by once or twice a week for bbq jackfruit tacos, and I kind of feel social again, haha. Pictured below post Condado with one of my favorite people:

Finally, Wayfair. We just moved into a new house and honestly, Wayfair does have just what I need and it is bae. From hefty pieces like actual furniture to more practical things like curtains and sheets, all of our orders have shown up on time, in good condition, and better than we’d hoped for. Before hopping over to ikea, Target, or Homegoods for your next home needs, see if Wayfair has something for you, likely at an awesome price.
That’s the that on that. What are you loving this summer?
